Do you want to keep those prying eyes at bay from your WhatsApp?
Ever wished that you could segregate those who could see your online status or hide your last seen and your profile pictures?
Well, wish no more.
WhatsApp, a meta-owned platform has just rolled out its new update letting its users a bit more privacy: freedom of who is allowed to see their profile data. Though, the privacy freedom provided cannot outmatch that of its fierce rival; Telegram.
In the past, WhatsApp did allow a certain amount of privacy control to its users where they could hide their profile photos and last seen from anyone who has their number, and only people who are saved to contacts, or nobody at all.
How do we access this new privacy feature?
App Settings>Account>Privacy: Select the information that needs to be hidden>New contacts except…
From here on, you select the contacts that don’t need to see your profile picture, last seen or online status.
With the new privacy feature update, WhatsApp has closely been observing how to improve and better the app experience in terms of usability and providing the ultimate user experience.
WhatsApp has increased its file-sharing limit to 2GB, also expanded group chat support to 512 users with a new feature of migrating your chat history from and Android to iPhone. WhatsApp has been on a fast-paced train to dominate over its competitors and stay the number one go-to messaging app.
