Samsung has commenced the Android 14 update rollout for its smartphones, with the Galaxy A34 being the latest addition. According to reports from SamMobile, the One UI 6-based Android 14 update for the Galaxy A34 is now in progress in Europe, with sightings reported in various countries, including Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Czechia, and the UK.
The update, identified by the build number A346BXXU4BWK2, also incorporates the November security patch. Samsung has not disclosed details regarding the rollout in India, but it’s expected to reach other regions soon.
The One UI 6 update, built on Android 14, introduces improved user-friendliness and intelligent enhancements for photo and video editing. Notable features include a redesigned Quick panel and app interface, the introduction of the One UI Sans typeface, and the integration of AI capabilities like Photo Remaster and Object Eraser in the Gallery app. The Samsung Studio multi-layer video editor now allows the inclusion of text, stickers, and music into the video timeline.
One UI 6 enables multitasking through a pop-up window, allows flexible positioning of the lock screen clock, and simplifies app icon labels. The Weather app receives a new widget and interactive map view, while the camera offers expanded alignment options and filters. Significant improvements extend to the Calendar, Reminder, and Samsung Internet apps, and the My Files app provides more intelligent recommendations.
Security features, such as the Auto Blocker, have been added for an extra layer of protection, and customisable Bixby text call greetings enhance the user experience. Accessibility features have been expanded, introducing new options for magnification and cursor thickness. While the update is currently rolling out in Europe, Samsung is likely to extend it to other regions in the near future.
