Tech enthusiasts got a sneak peek at the pricing of Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches thanks to a new leak. The information details the costs for various models of the Galaxy Watch7 and the brand new Galaxy Watch Ultra, set to be unveiled at the upcoming Unpacked event in Paris on 10th July 2024.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra takes the top spot with a single, feature-packed version boasting Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4G connectivity. This premium smartwatch will sport a sleek titanium case available in three colors: Titanium Grey, Titanium Silver, and Titanium White. The leak suggests a price tag of €699 for this model.
The Galaxy Watch7 arrives in two sizes – 40mm and 44mm – both constructed from aluminum. Despite the size difference, both models share the same processor, RAM, and storage capacity (Exynos W1000 chipset, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage).
The key difference lies in the display size, with the 40mm model featuring a 1.3-inch display and the 44mm offering a 1.5-inch display. Battery life is also expected to vary by size, with the 40mm model packing a 300 mAh battery and the 44mm model boasting a 425 mAh battery.
The Galaxy Watch7 starts at €319 for the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled 40mm version, increasing to €349 for the 44mm model with the same functionalities. For users seeking 4G LTE connectivity, the price jumps to €369 for the 40mm model and €399 for the 44mm model.
All Galaxy Watch models, including both the Ultra and Watch7 variants, are expected to be IP68 dust and water resistant, meeting the MIL-STD-810H military standard for durability. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and dual frequency GPS. The specific sensors included in these new watches remain undisclosed.
