OPPO F35 Series Raises the Bar With Huge Batteries and 50MP Selfies

The biggest change across the F35 lineup is sitting inside the phones rather than on their screens.

A phone that can last longer, capture wider group selfies and still deliver flagship-style features is no longer unusual. But OPPO has packed all three into its latest F-series lineup. The company has officially launched the OPPO F35 and F35 Pro in India, and both smartphones arrive with a massive 8,000mAh battery and a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera.

The new F35 generation also brings meaningful upgrades over the F33 series. The Pro model gets a larger and sharper display, a faster processor and an additional rear camera, while the standard F35 finally receives the high-resolution selfie hardware that was previously exclusive to the Pro model.

The 8,000mAh Battery Is the Big Story

The biggest change across the F35 lineup is sitting inside the phones rather than on their screens.

Both the F35 and F35 Pro feature an 8,000mAh battery, giving them 1,000mAh more capacity than their F33 predecessors. That is a significant increase for smartphones in this segment and could make the new models particularly appealing to users who prioritize battery endurance.

Both phones support 80W wired charging, while they also support 55W USB PPS and 44W UFCS charging standards. The combination of a large battery and fast charging is designed to reduce the need for frequent charging without making users wait excessively when the battery eventually runs low.

The trade-off is that the new phones have become heavier than the previous generation. OPPO appears to have accepted the additional weight in exchange for substantially greater battery capacity.

F35 Pro Gets the Bigger Display

The OPPO F35 Pro is the more advanced model of the two and comes with a 6.78-inch OLED display.

The panel has a resolution of 1,272 x 2,772 pixels and supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It also offers 10-bit color depth and covers the full DCI-P3 color space, making it suitable for everything from everyday scrolling to watching high-quality video.

Brightness can reach 1,800 nits in High Brightness Mode, while AGC DT-Star D+ glass protects the display. The fingerprint scanner is also integrated underneath the screen.

This gives the Pro model a noticeable advantage for users who care about display quality, particularly those who want a combination of high resolution and smooth refresh rates.

A Faster Chip Gives the Pro More Power

The F35 Pro is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 MAX chipset. It is a 4nm processor with an octa-core CPU consisting of four Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.

Graphics are handled by a Mali-G615 GPU.

OPPO pairs the chipset with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The move to UFS 3.1 is also notable because the previous F33 Pro used slower UFS 2.2 storage.

That combination should give the Pro model faster app loading, better multitasking and stronger overall performance than its predecessor.

Both Phones Finally Get a 50MP Group Selfie Camera

The front camera is another major focus of the F35 series.

Both models feature a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view and autofocus. That wider perspective is particularly useful for group selfies because more people can fit into the frame without forcing the photographer to hold the phone farther away.

The Pro model uses an f/2.0 lens, while the standard F35 uses an f/2.1 lens. Despite the small difference, both phones represent a substantial upgrade over the 16MP selfie camera found on the F33.

The F35 Pro takes the camera capabilities further by supporting 4K video recording at 30fps from both its front and rear cameras. It also supports dual-view recording, allowing users to capture footage from the front and rear cameras simultaneously.

The Standard F35 Takes a Different Approach

The standard OPPO F35 retains a smaller 6.57-inch OLED display with a 1,080 x 2,372-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The screen supports 10-bit colors and covers 100% of both the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. Its peak brightness reaches 1,400 nits in High Brightness Mode, and Crystal Guard glass provides protection.

Under the hood, the phone uses the Dimensity 6360 MAX chipset paired with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage is limited to 128GB and uses UFS 2.2 technology.

The rear camera system is also simpler. The phone has a 50MP primary camera without optical image stabilization and a 2MP depth sensor. Video recording is available at 1080p and 60fps, with OPPO promising support for 2.5K recording through a future software update.

Both Phones Are Built for Durability

Battery and camera features are not the only areas where the F35 series aims to stand out.

Both smartphones carry an IP69 rating for water resistance, offering protection against high-pressure water jets. This gives the phones an additional layer of durability compared with many devices in the same price category.

The phones also arrive with different design and color options. The F35 Pro is available in Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue and Twilight Brown, while the standard F35 comes in Wave Blue, Mist Pink and Titanium Grey.

OPPO F35 Series Price in India

The OPPO F35 starts at ₹39,000 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The 8GB and 128GB version costs ₹43,000.

The F35 Pro starts at ₹46,000 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB and 128GB configuration costs ₹50,000, while the top-end model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at ₹55,000.

The phones are already available for pre-order through OPPO’s online store, Amazon and Flipkart, with sales scheduled to begin on October 11.

A Bigger F-Series With a Clearer Identity

The OPPO F35 series is more than a routine generational update. The larger 8,000mAh batteries, 50MP ultra-wide selfie cameras and improved hardware give the new phones a stronger identity than their predecessors.

The F35 Pro is clearly the more capable option, combining a 144Hz OLED display, Dimensity 7360 MAX chipset, UFS 3.1 storage and a dedicated ultra-wide rear camera with the same huge battery found in the standard model.

The regular F35 takes a more affordable route while still keeping the two features likely to attract the most attention: the 8,000mAh battery and 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera.

For buyers who want long battery life and group-friendly selfies without stepping into the flagship segment, the new F35 lineup could make a strong case for itself. The bigger question will be whether the higher prices compared with the previous F33 generation are justified by these upgrades.
