vivo Y600 Packs a 10,000mAh Battery, but There’s More to This Phone Than Endurance

Most smartphones require a charging routine. The vivo Y600 is designed to make that routine less frequent.

Imagine leaving home in the morning, using your phone for navigation, watching videos during breaks and staying connected throughout the day without constantly checking the battery percentage.

That is the experience vivo wants to deliver with the new vivo Y600, a smartphone built around a battery capacity that would have seemed excessive on an ordinary phone just a few years ago.

The device is now official in China, combining a huge 10,000mAh battery with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor. Its biggest selling point is obvious, but vivo has also included features aimed at people who need a phone that can handle demanding everyday conditions.

10,000mAh Is the Number That Defines the vivo Y600

Most smartphones require a charging routine. The vivo Y600 is designed to make that routine less frequent.

Its 10,000mAh battery is the headline feature, offering considerably more capacity than the batteries found in many mainstream smartphones. For delivery riders, travellers, students and people who spend long hours away from a power outlet, that extra capacity could be more valuable than a faster processor or an additional camera.

The battery has also earned a Guinness World Records recognition after the phone lasted 32 hours and 37 minutes in a continuous livestream test. That is a specific test result rather than a promise of the same runtime during normal use, but it demonstrates the endurance-focused direction vivo has taken.

When the battery eventually needs charging, the Y600 supports 44W wired charging. It also offers reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to supply power to compatible accessories or other devices.

A Big Screen Without Flagship Pricing

The Y600 features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 2800 × 1260 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

That combination gives users plenty of screen space for watching films, browsing social media, reading and playing games. AMOLED technology also delivers deep blacks and strong contrast, while the high refresh rate helps scrolling and animations feel smoother.

The large panel does come with a trade-off. At approximately 224g, the phone is heavier than many conventional smartphones, and its 8.59mm body is not especially slim.

Still, the added weight may be easier to accept for buyers who put battery endurance ahead of pocket-friendly dimensions.

Performance Is About Everyday Reliability

Powering the vivo Y600 is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300e, a 6nm chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

This is not positioned as a premium gaming powerhouse. Instead, the hardware is designed for everyday activities such as messaging, browsing, video playback, navigation and multitasking.

The phone runs Android 16 with vivo’s OriginOS 6 interface. It also includes an under-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, an infrared remote control feature and Bluetooth 5.4.

These additions make the device more practical beyond its battery capacity. However, buyers who regularly run demanding games or resource-heavy applications should look at performance testing before treating it as a high-end gaming option.

The Camera Setup Keeps Things Simple

The vivo Y600 takes a straightforward approach to photography, featuring a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

The rear sensor supports autofocus and is designed for everyday photographs, document captures and casual video. The front camera handles selfies and video calls, with recording support up to 1080p.

There is no dedicated ultrawide or telephoto camera in the rear setup. That means users who enjoy photographing expansive landscapes or capturing distant subjects will have fewer options than they would with a multi-camera flagship.

For a phone focused on endurance and practical use, this is an understandable compromise. Photography enthusiasts, however, should not buy the Y600 expecting a versatile flagship camera experience.

Durability Could Be Another Reason to Consider It

A huge battery is less useful if a phone struggles with the conditions in which people need it most.

The vivo Y600 carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. These ratings provide protection against specified exposure conditions, although they do not make the device indestructible or immune to all forms of water damage.

Its connectivity package includes 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC and USB Type-C. The combination makes it suitable for users who need a dependable everyday device rather than a phone built exclusively around gaming or photography.

The actual long-term experience will depend on software optimization, battery health and how the device handles sustained workloads.

vivo Y600 Price and Availability

The vivo Y600 is available to pre-order in China, with open sales scheduled to begin on October 30, 2026. It comes in Diamond Gold, Obsidian Black and Sapphire Blue.

Chinese pricing starts at CNY 1,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM and 256GB version costs CNY 2,499, with additional configurations available between those price points.

There is currently no confirmed international launch date or official Indian price. Prospective buyers outside China should wait for vivo to announce regional availability rather than assume these prices will translate directly to other markets.

The Verdict: Built for People Who Hate Charging

The vivo Y600 makes a clear choice about what matters most. Instead of chasing the highest camera resolution or flagship-level processing power, it puts battery endurance at the centre of the experience.

Its 10,000mAh battery, large 120Hz AMOLED display and durability features make it an interesting option for people who spend long hours using their phones away from home.

The compromises are equally clear: the camera system is basic, the phone is relatively heavy, and its processor is aimed at everyday performance rather than demanding gaming.

For buyers who regularly run out of battery before the day ends, the vivo Y600 could be an appealing alternative to conventional smartphones. Its biggest achievement is not simply carrying a larger battery, but making endurance the defining reason to choose it.
