The changelog includes the addition of a new feature in the Labs menu, the inclusion of “Sharpen call sound” for enhanced audibility in noisy environments, and the introduction of “Extra-high ambient volume” under the “Hearing enhancements” category. With the activation of this feature, the “Ambient Sound level” changes from step 3 to step 5, providing users with greater control over their listening experience.

The primary focus of this update is to amplify ambient sound and offer more precise customization options. Users can now adjust the volume sliders for ambient sound on each earbud individually, allowing them to tailor the sound amplification according to their specific needs and preferences.

The introduction of Enhanced Ambient Sound on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro is the result of extensive testing and research. Two separate clinical trials were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the feature. The University of Iowa’s Hearing Aid and Aging Research Laboratory and the Samsung Medical Center both conducted trials that demonstrated significant improvement in speech perception for individuals with hearing impairments.

By incorporating this accessibility feature, Samsung aims to improve the auditory experience for users with hearing difficulties, enhancing their ability to perceive speech and sounds in various environments. The update not only enhances the functionality of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro but also reinforces Samsung’s commitment to inclusivity and ensuring that their products cater to a wide range of user needs.

As the update continues to roll out to Galaxy Buds2 Pro users in Europe, more individuals with hearing loss will have access to this valuable feature, empowering them to enjoy clearer and more immersive audio experiences.
