Mark your calendars!
OnePlus is gearing up to unveil a new smartphone on July 16th during a launch event held in Milan, Italy. The event kicks off at 3PM local time, translating to 2PM in London, 9AM in New York, 6AM in LA, and 6:30PM in India.
The cryptic invitation hints at a phone crafted from metal, defying conventional wisdom in the 5G era. The metallic theme extends to the invitation itself, further fueling speculation. OnePlus’ motto, “Never Settle,” prominently features alongside the message.
Leaks suggest the upcoming device is likely the highly anticipated OnePlus Nord 4. Rumors point towards it being a rebranded version of the recently launched OnePlus Ace 3V in China for international markets.
Based on these leaks, the OnePlus Nord 4 is expected to boast a large 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and exceptional brightness. A powerful Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor is rumored to be at the heart of the phone, paired with generous RAM and storage options.
The camera system is said to feature a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an ultrawide sensor, and a front-facing camera for selfies.
A long-lasting 5,500mAh battery with support for incredibly fast 100W wired charging is also anticipated. The phone is expected to launch running the latest Android 14 operating system with OxygenOS 14 on top.
The event might not be limited to the Nord 4. Whispers suggest OnePlus could also introduce the OnePlus Watch 2R, a slightly more affordable variant of the recently released OnePlus Watch 2 (known as the Watch 2R outside of China due to design differences).
Additionally, the rumor mill has been churning about the potential launch of the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, which recently surfaced in leaks.
With an intriguing teaser campaign and the promise of new devices, the OnePlus launch event on July 16th is shaping up to be an exciting one for tech enthusiasts.
