Motorola Razr 40 Ultra ads appear on billboards in Europe

Motorola is set to make a grand unveiling of its highly anticipated foldable smartphones, the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra, at an event on June 1.

However, it seems that some of Motorola’s subsidiaries couldn’t contain their excitement and have already started advertising the devices on billboards in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria in the European Union.

Despite the official launch event being a couple of days away, the streets of Sofia are already adorned with eye-catching ads showcasing the Razr 40 Ultra.

These ads not only confirm the name of the device but also provide a glimpse of the phone from different angles, emphasizing its standout feature – the expansive outer screen. This unique design element sets it apart from its competitors, including Samsung and Oppo.

While the Razr 40 Ultra will bear this name in most markets, it appears that in the United States, it will be referred to as the Razr+.

This subtle distinction aside, leaked information and rumors suggest that the device will boast impressive specifications.

It is expected to feature a 6.9-inch 1080×2400 165 Hz inner screen, accompanied by a 3.6-inch 165 Hz 1066×1056 outer screen.

Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which may raise some eyebrows as it is not the latest iteration but still offers solid performance. The phone is rumored to come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

In terms of photography capabilities, the Razr 40 Ultra will sport a 12 MP f/1.5 primary camera with 1.4μm pixels and optical image stabilization, accompanied by a 13 MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens featuring 1.12μm pixels. For selfies, a 32 MP f/2.4 front-facing camera is discreetly embedded within the hole-punch cutout on the folding screen.

One aspect that might disappoint potential buyers is the relatively modest 3,800 mAh battery, which may not deliver exceptional endurance. However, the device will support up to 33W wired charging, and wireless charging capabilities are also expected, although details remain unspecified.

The Razr 40 Ultra is projected to retail for approximately €1,199 in Europe and will be available in three stunning color options: Infinity Black, Glacier Blue, and Viva Magenta.

With its innovative design, impressive specifications, and Motorola’s reputable brand name, the Razr 40 Ultra is poised to captivate tech enthusiasts and foldable smartphone enthusiasts alike.
