Newton School to organize Digital Goa Youth Summit
The summit provided a platform for over 5,000 students from across Goa to explore the latest trends and opportunities in the tech industry, empowering them to envision their future careers.
The Goa State Higher Education Council, in collaboration with the Directorate of Higher Education and the Goa Government, teamed up with Newton School, a leading provider of outcome-oriented education, to host the Digital Goa Youth Summit, which saw the participation of numerous dignitaries.
Held at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Panaji, the summit also served as the platform for launching the Digital Goa Scholarship Program (DGSP), which was initiated in October 2022. This program aims to cultivate a skilled pool of tech professionals in Goa by partnering with Newton School to overcome geographical and financial barriers.
Through the DGSP, the Goa government and Newton School aim to offer advanced industry-focused tech education to over 10,000 Goan students, providing them with comprehensive training and upskilling opportunities.
The event was graced by Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, along with representatives from the Directorate of Higher Education and the founders of Newton School, Siddharth Maheshwari and Nishant Chandra.
Renowned tech companies such as Zepto Fampay, as well as personalities from Google and LinkedIn, were also in attendance. The summit featured entertaining performances by Goan students and popular social media influencer Sukriti Chaturvedi, with RJ Devanggana Chauhan hosting the event.

The Digital Goa Scholarship Program unveiled at the event aims to equip students pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in any field with the necessary skills to secure high-paying jobs in leading tech companies.
Founded in 2019 by Siddharth Maheshwari and Nishant Chandra, graduates of IIT Roorkee, Newton School is committed to bridging the gap between learners and job opportunities. The institution offers industry-focused tech courses and facilitates placements as software developers and engineers, collaborating with over 2000 hiring partners including Google, Zomato, and TCS.
As part of the scholarship program, Newton School will conduct a 12-week Coding and Mindset Bootcamp starting on March 31st, focusing on aptitude and mathematics required for programming. Upon successful completion, students can enroll in a free 6-month full stack development course, receiving training from industry experts and benefiting from one-on-one mentorship. The program also offers 100 percent placement assistance to help students kickstart their tech careers.
Expressing his satisfaction with the initiative, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated, “I am pleased that the Goa State Higher Education Council, Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa, in collaboration with Newton School, is launching this scholarship program aimed at enabling Goan students to become tech experts.”
Siddharth Maheshwari and Nishant Chandra, Founders of Newton School, emphasized the transformative potential of the Digital Goa Scholarship Program, envisioning it as a catalyst for the growth of Goa’s tech industry and the state’s overall economic development.
