Motorola has unveiled the highly anticipated Razr 50 Ultra in the Indian market. The phone boasts a foldable design with two large displays and powerful internals, but the price tag might give some potential buyers pause.
The Razr 50 Ultra comes in a single memory variant – 12GB of RAM paired with 512GB of storage. Color options include Midnight Blue, Spring Green, and the trendy Peach Fuzz.
The official price for the Razr 50 Ultra is set at Rs. 99,999 (roughly $1,195). However, launch-day discounts bring some relief. Partnering banks are offering an instant discount of Rs. 5,000, and a limited-time early bird offer brings the price down further to a more manageable Rs. 89,999 (approximately $1,075).
The Razr 50 Ultra will be available for purchase on Amazon.in starting during the upcoming Prime Day sales. Motorola’s own Indian website and major retailers like Reliance Digital will also stock the phone.
Under the hood, the Razr 50 Ultra features the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and runs Android 14 with Motorola’s Hello UI on top. The phone is backed by a commitment of five years of security patches and three Android version upgrades.
The dual-screen design offers a large 6.9-inch foldable main display with a smooth 165Hz refresh rate and a convenient 4-inch cover display, also boasting a 165Hz refresh rate.
A 4,000mAh battery keeps the phone powered, supporting 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging for added convenience. The camera system is no slouch either, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. The phone boasts an IPX8 water resistance rating and a fingerprint scanner embedded on the side for secure unlocking.
With its cutting-edge specs and innovative design, this new Android powered smartphone is sure to turn heads. However, the initial price point might limit its appeal to a more niche segment of the Indian smartphone market.
