The Global Tech Summit Goa, hosted by the Vibrant Goa Foundation, took place on March 22nd and 23rd, 2024, at Kala Academy, Panjim, Goa. During this event, the Amazing Goa Global Expo & Summit 2024, scheduled for November 8th to 10th of the same year, was also officially introduced.
The Global Tech Summit serves as a pivotal platform for fostering collaboration, entrepreneurship, driving innovation, and shaping the digital landscape of the future. With a focus on harnessing the power of AI and strategic partnerships, the summit aims to propel businesses towards exponential growth in the global market.
The summit commenced on March 22nd with an inauguration ceremony attended by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, along with distinguished guests including Suresh Prabhu, Ex-Union Minister and Chancellor of Rishihood University; Milind Anvekar, Chairman of Global Tech Summit; Manguirish Pai Raiker, Chairman of Goa State Development Council, ASSOCHAM; and other notable figures.
In his keynote address, Suresh Prabhu emphasized the potential of Goa as a hub for innovation and technological advancement, calling for the integration of sustainability into technological endeavors to create job opportunities and drive economic growth.
The summit featured a series of insightful discussions on various topics such as changes in travel post-pandemic, entrepreneurship, fostering sustainability and inclusivity, startup initiatives, AI, and cybersecurity. Additionally, sessions on business expansion in Great Britain, robotics integration in education, and STEM labs were conducted.
On Day 2, participants engaged in personalized mentoring sessions with Dr. Jagat Shah, exploring strategies for market entry and expansion. A panel discussion on unlocking export opportunities in emerging markets highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships. Student projects and presentations from engineering colleges and schools in Goa were also showcased, underscoring the region’s talent and innovation.
The summit attracted over 2,500 business delegates from across India, as well as 800 students from schools and over 600 students from engineering colleges. More than 35 exhibitors showcased technology innovations, and live experience zones featuring robotics, drones, virtual reality, and 3D printing were also featured. Additionally, nine startups received seed funding through BITS Goa.
In his keynote address, Dr. Jagat Shah emphasized the importance of participating in national and international roadshows for networking and knowledge sharing, urging businesses to secure booths at the upcoming Global Expo Summit in November.
The Global Tech Summit concluded with a valedictory ceremony, marking the launch of the Amazing Goa Global Expo & Summit 2024.
