Founded in 2021, Fablemill embarked on a mission to address the underrepresentation of Arab voices in mainstream media while producing unique narratives of unexplored topics.
Led by Eman Alsabah, the Co-Founder & CEO, the firm shattered gender stereotypes with a predominantly female management team. It harnesses modern film techniques to depict Arab myths, legends, and folklore, carving a niche for itself in Bahrain’s filmmaking industry.
Reflecting on the challenges faced during their entrepreneurial journey, Alsabah highlighted the nascent nature of the industry in Bahrain, marked by evolving policies, regulations, and talent development.
However, the company remains optimistic, collaborating with international productions and investing locally to propel the industry forward. Their recent participation in the Cannes Film Festival underscores their commitment to global expansion.
Driven by a passion for storytelling and a mission to amplify local narratives, Fablemill distinguishes itself through collaboration and a focus on creative production.
With upcoming projects in post-production and plans to launch a publishing arm focusing on Arab folklore, the company continues to push boundaries and redefine storytelling in the digital age.
